That&#039;s interesting.  I&#039;m not sure if it&#039;s a current practice or not.  Round us, in the Welsh borders, people certainly harvest bracken to supplement bedding for livestock, but I didn&#039;t know about the gorse.  Next time I&#039;m at St Fagan&#039;s (it&#039;s near the in-laws, and such a wonderful place to visit) ll go on a quest for the gorse cutter.
