The landscape includes a cross section of a mole burrow, details of the roots of yellow rattle, meadow butterflies, beetles and worms, small mammals, a soaring swallow, and lots of wild meadow flowers. The landscape behind is based on Muker, in Swaledale. The “Guide to Britain’s Hay Meadows” also includes several botanical illustrations of grass species.
